The Israeli Association of Powered Paraglider Pilots brings together pilots of powered paragliders with wheels, also known as powered paragliders, “buggies,” or flying trikes. The association represents pilots before government authorities and is managed by a team of volunteers. Its website serves as a resource for the flying community, providing professional information and materials on equipment, flight practices, safety, and the sport.

Powered paragliders use a motor to propel a fabric wing through the air; pilots steer by using their feet to change the wing’s shape. The site explains how the aircraft works and presents flight training, which takes about 14 hours with an instructor certified by Israel’s Civil Aviation Authority. It also directs visitors to flight instructors, schools, and providers of experience flights. Additional resources include accident investigations, articles, videos and tips, essential checks, insurance information, landing sites and routes, maps and flight applications, maintenance services, manufacturers and equipment suppliers, and pilot networking. Pilots can also find information about membership and refresher and enrichment flights.
