Designed for a network without smart contracts, it uses payments and memo instructions to record actions such as deploying a coin, buying it, or moving holdings to a key. The Zcash blockchain orders these payments, while pport’s rules process them into a public ledger that can be reconstructed from block data. The platform publishes a state root at each step so users can check the resulting balances.

Users can explore available coins, deploy a coin, and review ledger activity, including holders, funds raised, and orders. During a sale, pport holds the ZEC sent to it; the ledger serves as the record of ownership until native Zcash assets become available. The site says balances are intended to convert one to one when Zcash Shielded Assets, described in ZIP 226 and 227, ship, though no release date is given. pport also stores a holder key in the user’s browser and describes the sale as its only custodial component.
