Equixvital offers horse physiotherapy and health-focused groundwork in the Emsland region, supporting horses and their owners in building comfort, balance and natural movement. Led by certified equine physiotherapist and groundwork trainer Xenia van der Zouw, the practice takes a holistic approach that connects physical health, emotional balance and movement. Xenia’s background includes training as a veterinary medical assistant, informing her focus on understanding each horse and its needs.

Physiotherapy is tailored to the individual horse and may support rehabilitation, complement veterinary care or provide preventive muscle care. Treatments aim to ease pain and physical strain and encourage healthy movement, using gentle methods rather than forceful manipulation. Health-promoting groundwork is available as a standalone training option or alongside physiotherapy. Drawing on neurotraining and behavioral biology, sessions help owners and horses improve communication, build trust, recognize movement patterns and address unhelpful habits without pressure.

Xenia visits clients at their stables and aims to equip owners with a better understanding of their horses, helping them support long-term wellbeing through a trusting partnership.
