Präeklampsie HELLP

The Bundesverband Präeklampsie & HELLP-Syndrom e.V. is a German-speaking, Europe-wide self-help organization supporting women and families affected by hypertensive pregnancy disorders, including placental insufficiency, preeclampsia, HELLP syndrome and eclampsia. It serves people across Germany, Austria and Switzerland, offering information and guidance during pregnancy and in the years that follow. The association helps members navigate questions about future pregnancies, family risk, aftercare and long-term health, including cardiovascular risks.

Its services include email counseling, online forums, regular virtual peer-support meetings and regional groups that help families connect with others nearby. The organization also provides online seminars, educational resources and informational materials on pregnancy, nutrition, possible causes of these conditions, and long-term health. Its website features a members’ area, a glossary, event updates and an online shop with guides and recommendations, including materials on nutrition and supplementation. The association contributes the experiences and needs of affected families to research and public education, and supports the PreFree project, a digital monitoring initiative for high-risk pregnancies led by university hospitals.
