Prairie’s Edge Forest School is a nature-based early childhood program serving young children in the Gainesville area. Designed for children ages 3 to 6, the school offers an all-outdoor learning experience centered on free play and exploration in nature. Its drop-off classes meet three days a week, giving children regular opportunities to spend time outdoors and engage with their surroundings.

The program’s emphasis on child-led play and discovery distinguishes it from a conventional indoor classroom approach, while its focus remains on young children and their experiences in the natural environment. Families can explore information about the forest school, its team, frequently asked questions, and enrollment through the school’s website. The site also includes a Prairie Babies section, though further details about that offering are not provided in the available information.

Prairie’s Edge welcomes questions from families by email and invites them to stay connected. Overall, the school presents an outdoor program for Gainesville-area families seeking nature immersion and exploratory play for children in the preschool years
