Prairie Wood Ranch

Prairie Wood Ranch is a family-owned Nigerian Dwarf goat breeder in Edgewood, New Mexico, operated by Lora and Dan Kniffin. Raising miniature goats since 1987, the ranch focuses on healthy, colorful, functional animals and works with buyers seeking goats for shows or as pets. Its herd is managed with care, and breeding takes place year-round, with kids often available.

Goats are sold with ADGA applications or papers and are guaranteed healthy at the time of purchase. The ranch dehorns its animals and provides information about health care, deposits, and sales. Nationwide shipping is available through airline transport to a major airport, with health certificates required for flying.

Prairie Wood Ranch also offers hay sales and a range of goat-themed gifts, including apparel, signs, keychains, collectibles, and jewelry. Customers can view available goats and learn about the herd through the ranch’s website and social media channels, or contact the owners by phone or email with questions. The ranch is located about 30 miles east of Albuquerque
