Praktijk Bonte Boel

Praktijk Bonte Boel is an orthopedagogical practice in the Bollenstreek, supporting children aged 0–12 and their parents with parenting questions, child development, and family challenges. Founded by Tanya, the practice offers a listening ear and works with families to find practical approaches suited to their situation, without judgment. Support may be helpful when parents feel overwhelmed, are concerned about a child’s wellbeing, or find that recurring conflicts and daily routines have become difficult to manage.

Examples include persistent crying, struggles around mealtimes or bedtime, frequent anger, or a child who seems down. Tanya has worked in youth care and youth support since qualifying as a basic educationalist in 2003, and later trained as a general educationalist. Her approach is open, curious, and focused on understanding behaviour and the parent-child relationship.

Work begins with an introductory meeting and may explore the child’s developmental history and parent-child interactions, sometimes using recordings. Together, parents and practitioner identify what is already working and develop new perspectives step by step
