Prata Design

Prata Design is a multidisciplinary graphic design studio working at the intersection of strategy, consulting, communication, technology, data, research, and visual culture. It develops visual identity systems and communication design for a range of interfaces, including brands, books, magazines, exhibitions, websites, social media, and motion design. The studio describes its approach as collaborative and research-led, combining visual culture, data, and communication to create work intended to make an impact and foster empathy.

Its consulting practice uses collaborative processes and a proprietary tool called Imager.ia, comprising four named intelligences: Ancestral, Environmental, Artisanal, and Artificial. These help map contexts, connect knowledge, and shape communication design strategies for people, brands, institutions, and communities. Prata Design also brings artistic and curatorial practices into dialogue with academic research, exploring design culture, the use of images, and new technologies in contemporary life. The studio works across sectors including law, food, architecture and design, construction, corporate, culture, education, the environment, nonprofits, health, and wellbeing.
