Praxis Dersthof

Dersthof is an occupational therapy practice serving children, adolescents and adults at locations in Gelsenkirchen and Oberhausen. Its team offers individualized support in the practice and, when prescribed, through home visits, with the aim of strengthening everyday skills and promoting confidence and well-being.

Services cover several areas of occupational therapy. Pediatric care includes developmental support, sensory and motor skills, handwriting, concentration and behavior training, and therapy for ADHD. Neurological services include cognitive training, mirror therapy, relaxation techniques and LSVT BIG for Parkinson’s, as well as support for people affected by stroke, multiple sclerosis, ALS and other conditions. The practice also provides geriatric therapy, including fall prevention, walking and cognitive training, and advice for families on living environments and daily support. Orthopedic services include hand therapy, scar treatment, sensory training and care following hand injuries or for rheumatic conditions. Additional offerings include neurofeedback, biofeedback, coaching and counseling, ergonomic and handedness advice, and occupational therapy assessments.
