About Puerto Rican Bar NY
The Puerto Rican Bar Association (PRBA) of New York is a renowned organization that has been serving the Puerto Rican and Latino community for over sixty years. Originally founded in 1957, PRBA was established by Puerto Rican and Latino attorneys who were seeking both personal and professional support in a time when attorneys of color faced significant challenges in becoming members of established bar associations. Today, PRBA continues to be a vital home for Puerto Rican and Latino attorneys, offering a wide range of resources, networking opportunities, and mentorship programs.
PRBA is committed to protecting the legal profession and advocating for justice in the United States. They provide access to legal resources, training, professional opportunities, and a scholarship fund for deserving law students. PRBA hosts various events, including continuing legal education (CLE) programs and social gatherings, maintaining their mission of community service and inclusivity.
As we enter a new era, PRBA remains dedicated to uplifting the Puerto Rican and Latino community, providing support, and leading the way towards a better tomorrow
