Precision Petrographics Ltd

Precision Petrographics Ltd. is a petrographic preparation laboratory established in 2018 in Langley, British Columbia. Serving geological research, mineral exploration, and academic study, the company works with universities, government agencies, and exploration businesses in Canada and around the world. Its approach combines custom-built precision machinery with skilled handwork to produce clear, polished, consistent geological sections, with quality prioritized over speed.

The laboratory prepares standard, polished, and thick thin sections, as well as wedged sections, epoxy pucks, fluid-inclusion samples, slabs, and specialized kimberlite preparations. It also handles water-sensitive samples in a designated dry preparation room and offers sample impregnation, vacuum impregnation, mineral staining, and orientation services. Petrographic descriptions are arranged through experienced geologists, with reports tailored to client requirements. Additional offerings include core polishing by request and custom maple-wood core display boxes.

Precision Petrographics emphasizes careful communication and attention to each project’s needs. Its services support detailed mineral analysis and geological work, from individual samples to large exploration programs.
