Prefer Pets Travel Gear is a family-owned business based in Southern California, created by a couple passionate about traveling with their pets. Founded in 2006 after a memorable car ride with their two Pekingese dogs, Button and ShoSho, the brand emphasizes the safety, security, and comfort of small pets during travel. Initially inspired by a need for better carriers, Prefer Pets has evolved its product line to include stylish and thoughtfully designed carriers, such as their original backpacks and duffel bags, as well as a range of new offerings like the Hideaway™ Collection.

Each carrier is crafted with quality materials and mindful designs, ensuring that pets feel secure and happy while on the move. Prefer Pets specializes in small pet carriers suitable for transportation by foot, car, plane, or train, addressing the unique needs of discerning pet owners. With a commitment to exceptional customer service and ongoing product innovation driven by user feedback, Prefer Pets continues to help pet lovers enjoy life’s journey with their furry companions.
