PreFlight Aviation Camp is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that helps girls explore aviation and imagine themselves in future careers in the field. Its mission is to transform beliefs about gender roles and inspire young girls to take off into their futures. The organization offers a six-day aviation camp and mentorship program for girls ages 10 to 14, combining camp activities with guidance and encouragement from people involved in aviation.
PreFlight’s program is designed to introduce participants to aviation while building confidence and broadening their view of what they can pursue. Camps are offered at locations in Texas, Colorado, Florida, Arizona, and California. The organization also provides information about camp dates and rates, scholarships, activities, and past camp experiences, and invites families to apply through its website.
Beyond its programs, PreFlight welcomes volunteers and donors, shares event and program announcements through a newsletter, and features aviation professionals and mentors on its site. Through these opportunities, PreFlight connects young girls with aviation and supportive role models
