Developing a game changing device for the delaying of preterm birth, which is the most common pregnancy complication (1 in 10 women worldwide), and the leading cause of child morbidity and mortality until the age of 5. PregnanTech has developed LIONESS, a novel, non-surgical solution for delaying preterm birth. Inserted in a 3-5 minute out-patient procedure, the LIONESS's unique structure allows it to stay stable in place throughout the entire pregnancy, with a self-release mechanism in case of active labor. LIONESS was successfully tested in a range of preclinical studies, and a first in women (FIH) clinical safety trial is currently in progress. Findings are reassuring and attest to the vast potential of the device. We are planning on conducting a multi-center pivotal trial next year, and are actively looking for medical institutions worldwide to help us conduct it. If you are a part of a medical institution and are interested in taking an active part in revolutionizing the future of obstetrics with PregnanTech, do not hesitate to reach out!

About PregnanTech
PregnanTech is a medical technology company focused on preventing preterm birth and advancing maternal-fetal and newborn health. Its central product is LIONESS™, a device designed for physician placement to help reduce the risk of spontaneous preterm birth. The device is a specially structured silicone ring inserted into the vagina and positioned high around the uterine cervix to keep the cervix elongated. According to the company, placement is performed by a physician as a brief outpatient procedure.
PregnanTech presents its work in response to the significant health and social impact of preterm birth, noting that it affects about one in ten babies worldwide. The company aims to help establish a new standard of care in obstetrics and neonatal health by reducing preterm birth rates. Its website shares information about the challenge, its proposed solution, and the potential opportunity among pregnancies at risk. PregnanTech is based in Misgav, Israel, and invites enquiries through its contact channels.
