About Premio Marche
Premio Marche is a long-standing contemporary art exhibition based in Italy’s Marche region. First held in 1957, it has developed into one of central Italy’s most significant art events, with a history that gives it a prominent place in the region’s cultural life. The exhibition has involved respected art critics and curators, including Enrico Crispolti, Maurizio Calvesi, Mariano Apa, Armando Ginesi and Giorgio Di Genova.
After a pause following its 1999 edition, Premio Marche returned to exhibition activity in 2018. Its more recent editions include events in 2021, 2022, 2023 and 2025, presenting opportunities to encounter contemporary art through exhibitions and related cultural programming. The initiative is organized with the support of AMIA, the Marchigian Association for Artistic Initiatives, which handles its logistical and organizational secretariat. Premio Marche also shares updates and invites visitors to subscribe to its newsletter for news about upcoming exhibitions. Through its recurring editions and established history, the event connects artists, curators and audiences while contributing to the ongoing appreciation of contemporary art in the Marche region.
