Prescott-Joseph Center for Community Enhancement, Inc. Our mission is three-fold: to promote the individual self-esteem of citizens in the community through education, skill training, and cultural programs; to promote the on-going renewal of community spirit among West Oakland residents; and to organize and promote community activities. We offer a wide range of programs and services to cater to the diverse needs of our community.

Our six program areas include Youth Development, Early Childhood Education, Health & Wellness, Community Support Services, Art & Culture, and Community Partnerships. We are committed to strengthening individuals, stabilizing families, and revitalizing the community. At Prescott-Joseph Center, all our services are offered by our dedicated staff in English and Spanish, with other languages available through translators.

We are home to the Northern California Breathmobile Project, the West Oakland Food Pantry, the Father Charles D. Burns Preschool, and the Washington Burns Youth Mentoring & Computer Learning Program. Join us in building a thriving, empowered community in West Oakland
