About Preservation Long Island
Preservation Long Island, formerly known as SPLIA. ORG, is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to preserving and celebrating Long Island's cultural heritage. They work with the community to protect and safeguard historic sites and collections, advocating for the preservation of Long Island's rich history.
Preservation Long Island offers a range of services, including advocacy, education, and technical support, to ensure the longevity of our cultural heritage. They provide school programs, exhibitions, and publications, as well as tours of their historic properties such as Sherwood-Jayne Farm, Custom House, Old Methodist Church, and Joseph Lloyd Manor. Additionally, they host events and offer memberships and volunteer opportunities for individuals interested in supporting their mission.
Through their efforts, Preservation Long Island aims to raise awareness and appreciation for the island's diverse heritage and promote the importance of preserving it for future generations
