Pretendenthoeve is a family-run dressage horse breeding and stallion station based in Wapenveld, the Netherlands. With more than 50 years of experience, the business focuses on breeding horses for dressage and aims to match its breeding choices to the preferences of riders. Its selection priorities include honest, willing temperaments, uphill movement with strong hindquarters, expressive appearance, good health, and aptitude for advanced dressage.
The farm breeds from mares representing a range of bloodlines and raises many foals each year. Young horses are typically reared in groups before training begins as they approach three years old. Pretendenthoeve also makes several stallions available for breeding and provides information about stallions, breeding fees, and semen ordering.
For buyers, the business regularly offers horses from its own breeding program, including foals, breeding mares, stallions, geldings, and trained or untrained dressage horses. Its sales range from young prospects to horses competing at Grand Prix level.
