Prevar™ is an innovation company. We are in the business of developing and commercialising the world’s best premium apple and pear cultivars from New Zealand, that are grown and consumed around the world. Prevar trademarked varieties currently support the New Zealand apple and pear industry’s exports of almost NZ$1 billion in revenue and the goal is to reach NZ$2 billion in export revenue by 2030. To date Prevar has commercialised 20 varieties including Rockit™, Dazzle™, Smitten™, Sassy™ and PIQA® Pears. A global network of more than 30 licensees manage the production and sales of these varieties in New Zealand, Australia and in selected international locations where the highest quality apples and pears can be grown.
