The Malaysian Primatological Society (MPS) is a non-profit organization dedicated to coordinating and facilitating primate-related studies and conservation work in Malaysia. Collaborating closely with the Primate Research and Conservation Lab at Universiti Sains Malaysia, MPS aims to build a platform for students, researchers, and the public to actively participate in primate conservation. Membership is open to individuals of all ages and backgrounds, both national and international, who are interested in volunteering with MPS to conduct various primate conservation programs in Malaysia.

With a diverse range of more than 25 nonhuman primate species from five families, Malaysia boasts one of the most extensive primate faunas on earth. Unfortunately, many of these primate species are currently threatened due to habitat loss, fragmentation, and hunting. This not only endangers the primates themselves but also puts forest ecosystems at risk.

MPS strives to improve policies, align NGOs with mutual goals, spread public awareness, and provide training opportunities for volunteers interested in the exciting field of primate conservation. Join MPS today to help protect Malaysia's primate populations and preserve their natural habitats
