Prime Munitions

Prime Munitions, LLC is a centerfire primer manufacturer based in Bonners Ferry, northern Idaho. Founded to address long-standing primer shortages, the company spent three years engineering, making tools, and testing its production processes before bringing products to market. Its current offering is large rifle primers for hand-loaders. Prime Munitions says it plans to expand into large pistol, small rifle, and small pistol sizes as production grows.

The company emphasizes precision and consistency, producing brass primer components to dimensional tolerances it says are tighter than SAAMI specifications. It uses NATO-standard testing procedures and conducts quality inspections and statistical analysis throughout production. Its primers use non-corrosive lead styphnate, a primary explosive used in military and civilian ammunition.

Prime Munitions currently serves customers in specified counties in Idaho and Montana, and does not accept online orders. Sales inquiries and questions can be sent through its website contact form. The company also shares customer testimonials, legal documents, product recall notices, and updates about expanding availability and planned gun-show sales.
