Principesse in corsia

Principesse in Corsia ODV is an Italian volunteer organization dedicated to bringing moments of wonder to children in hospital. Founded as a pediatric volunteering project in 2019, it became a recognized voluntary organization in 2023. Its trained volunteers visit hospital wards as princess characters, using imaginative encounters, gentle conversation and small gifts to help children relax, smile and reconnect with play. Each visit is shaped by sensitivity and respect for the child and family’s pace, with volunteers receiving specific training and carefully developing their characters.

The organization’s work extends beyond bedside visits through projects involving schools, families and local communities. Schoolchildren create drawings for young hospital patients, while the “Libretto della felicità” offers older children prompts for positive thoughts, happy memories and personal goals. “Cappellini magici” uses colour, braids and imagination to help young oncology patients explore their appearance and identity. Donations support volunteer training, small gifts and projects for hospitalized children and teenagers.
