Principia

Principia is a renewable energy company operating in Greece, where it develops and manages projects that support the transition to a more sustainable energy system. Founded in 2008 as part of Enel Green Power in Greece, the company is now owned by Enel SpA and funds managed by Macquarie Asset Management. Its diversified portfolio spans wind, solar and hydropower projects, as well as electricity storage facilities.

Principia manages 71 projects in operation, with a total installed capacity of 775.32 MW, and is actively expanding a development pipeline of 5.27 GW. Its operating portfolio includes 518.55 MW of wind capacity, 188.44 MW of solar capacity, 19.33 MW of hydropower and 49 MW of energy storage, alongside six substations. The company also highlights innovation, sustainability and engagement with the communities where it operates.
