About PrisonLIFE project
PrisonLIFE is a brand project that focuses on improving the quality of life for incarcerated individuals in prisons in Serbia. The project aims to identify influential factors, specific manifestations, and aspects of prison life quality, as well as opportunities for its assessment, monitoring, and enhancement. By exploring various disciplines such as criminology, psychology, sociology, law, and security, PrisonLIFE seeks to understand the contemporary experience of prison sentences and facilitate objective evaluation and comprehensive improvement.
The project will conduct research on demographic, criminological, and penological characteristics of prisoners and examine the correlation between prison life quality and subjective indicators. Additionally, PrisonLIFE will develop a culturally adapted tool to measure prison life quality and initiate changes in public opinion about the possibilities of rehabilitation and social reintegration. Ultimately, the project aims to improve prison life and contribute to reduced crime rates in Serbia
