About Participatory Plantation Forestry Programme
Participatory Plantation Forestry Programme (PFP2) - Panda Miti Kibiashara is a brand dedicated to increasing rural income in the Southern Highlands area of Tanzania. This four-year bilateral development cooperation programme, implemented by the Government of Finland and the Government of Tanzania, aims to develop sustainable plantation forestry and value addition in the entire production value chain. PFP2 offers a range of products and services to achieve its goal, including support to private tree growers, forest industrial development, and assistance to tree growers.
Through quality seeds and comprehensive training, PFP2 promotes forest industrial development and empowers local communities to generate income from sustainable forestry practices. The programme focuses on providing technical expertise, educational resources, and market access to its beneficiaries. By fostering economic growth and environmental sustainability, PFP2 is creating opportunities for rural communities and contributing to the conservation of Tanzania's natural resources
