The atelier selects materials for how they develop over time, including full-grain, top-grain, and pebbled or smooth leather, stainless steel, and waxed thread. Leather options include natural full grain, textured pebbled grain, smooth grain, and embossed patterns. A defining element of the craft is hand saddle-stitching, using two needles and one waxed thread to create an interlocking seam. For commissions, design, materials, and price are finalized before a 50 percent deposit is due and materials are ordered.
