Nordic Pro-Fly Fishing is a Finnish specialist business devoted to fly fishing, operated as Nordic Pro-Fly Fishing Tmi and associated with Mikko Halonen. It offers specialist presentations, fly tying, photography, and media content production, alongside information and practical resources for anglers. The website features articles published in Finnish and international fly-fishing magazines. Halonen has written around 100 articles since 1994, with selected pieces being scanned and shared as PDFs.
The business sells fly-fishing equipment under its Vespertina label, including the PRO NYMPH #3/4 reel and the Vespertina Midge Fly #3/4 rod. The four-piece rod measures 8 feet 4 inches and is designed for light dry-fly and nymph fishing. Its publications include Siikaperhoja, a book about lake fishing for whitefish, with guidance on fly selection, feeding patterns, and seasonal insect activity. The book’s only print run is sold out.
Nordic Pro-Fly Fishing also shares step-by-step fly-tying videos on YouTube, demonstrating practical fishing patterns tested over many years.
