About Pro Bono Ontario
Pro Bono Ontario is a brand dedicated to assisting Ontarians who have essential legal needs but cannot afford a lawyer. Our clients include vulnerable individuals facing a range of legal problems, such as predatory lending schemes, job loss while caregiving, barriers to education, and struggles to collect owed money. By providing free legal advice and services, we prevent costly social problems and make a significant impact on individuals' lives.
Our programs connect volunteer lawyers with those in need, and we strive to embed our services in accessible locations like courthouses, schools, and hospitals. Besides supporting individuals, we also aid start-ups, artists, social service organizations, and social entrepreneurs in navigating the legal challenges of operating a small business in Ontario. As a result, we help build vibrant and resilient communities.
