Procopius Numizmatikai Aukciósház is a Budapest-based coin and collectibles business offering expertise in numismatics, with an emphasis on fair dealing and informed guidance. Its services include buying valuable coins and old currency for immediate cash, selling collections through auctions, and providing expert valuations. The company considers Hungarian and foreign coins from antiquity to the present, historical banknotes, commemorative coins, special issues, complete collections, and emergency or substitute money.

During valuations, Procopius checks authenticity using specialist tools, assesses condition according to international standards, considers rarity and collector appeal, and estimates value with reference to auction and commercial prices. Clients can request an explanation of how an estimate was reached. The business also runs online and international auctions, along with fixed-price listings for gold and other coins. Its valuation work is personally carried out by founder and company director Péter Molnár, co-author of the Hungarian Coin Catalogue. Procopius serves collectors and people handling inherited collections from its shop at Petőfi Sándor utca 16 in Budapest’s fifth district.
