Prodefense

Prodefense Academy provides functional self-defence training and educational courses focused on violence prevention, personal and situational safety, and managing conflict. Its approach combines practical defensive skills with instruction in the psychology of self-defence, communication, behaviour, and decision-making under pressure. The aim is to help participants recognise developing risks, assess situations, and respond appropriately, including when physical danger cannot be avoided.

The academy offers beginner-friendly Self-Defence 1 courses for people without previous martial arts experience, covering fundamental responses to common threats such as grabs, holds, and strikes. Self-Defence 2 and further advanced training develop defensive abilities and combat principles through regular practice. Training also includes health-oriented exercises addressing breath, body, attention, and mental steadiness.

Prodefense Academy’s educational programme includes lectures, workshops, and courses in psychological self-defence, stress responses, conflict behaviour, situational awareness, and practical strategies for handling difficult encounters. Sessions incorporate analysis and case studies, and are available in locations including Bratislava and Košice. The academy serves both men and women, from beginners to experienced practitioners.
