Prodiam Trading

Prodiam is a South African natural-diamond dealer and jewellery maker based in Bedfordview, Johannesburg. Directed by Darren Etkind, who has worked in the diamond trade since 1995, the business brings diamond sourcing, cutting, polishing and jewellery manufacture together at one address. Its manufacturing operation, Procut DCW, cuts some stones in-house, while other diamonds are sourced to order from the certified trade. Prodiam sells natural diamonds only, with grading reports from laboratories including GIA and EGL, and provides available origin documentation for selected stones.

Customers can browse loose diamonds, engagement rings and ready-to-wear pieces such as necklaces, pendants and eternity rings, or commission jewellery made to their brief. The Prodiam Atelier offers a way to explore designs and settings before requesting a quote. Services also include private viewings, diamond sourcing, custom manufacturing and trade accounts. Prodiam states that its operations include Kimberley Process-compliant rough sourcing and are aligned with relevant industry standards. It offers service across South Africa, insured overnight delivery nationally and insured worldwide dispatch.
