About Productivity News
The National Productivity Centre (NPC) is a federal government parastatal in Nigeria, established to foster productivity across all sectors of the economy. Founded by ACT CAP 70 LFN 2004, NPC aims to elevate productivity consciousness, monitor productivity trends, and spearhead initiatives ensuring a competitive economy. The Centre offers a range of programs including the Productivity & Quality Improvement Programme (P&QIP), consultancy services, and capacity-building initiatives.
Key activities also include productivity assessments, advocacy, and the celebration of National Productivity Day, highlighting excellence through the National Productivity Order of Merit (NPOM) Award. NPC engages actively with SMEs and the public sector, recently partnering with the Pan African Association of Small and Medium Industries and the AIG-Imokhuede Foundation to enhance productivity and support governance reforms. Through its commitment to research and development, including productivity measurement studies, NPC continues to play a vital role in shaping Nigeria’s economic landscape, ensuring that productivity remains at the forefront of national development initiatives
