The Security Event is a professional security exhibition and conference held at Birmingham’s NEC. Its Professional Security Officer Live programme focuses on the changing demands, policies, risks and challenges facing security guarding. Through keynotes, case studies and presentations, the programme aims to inform and upskill professional security officers, as well as directors, operations leaders and compliance professionals. Topics include the future of the guarding sector, workforce compliance and operational readiness, and the experiences and contributions of women working in frontline security.
The event also brings together exhibitors and visitors across areas such as access control, alarm monitoring, biometrics, and CCTV and video surveillance. Its wider programme includes education sessions, networking opportunities, live testing, industry initiatives and co-located events, including the National Cyber Security Show. For organisations, The Security Event offers opportunities to exhibit, connect with industry professionals and present products and services. The next edition is scheduled for 27–29 April 2027 at the NEC Birmingham, with registration of interest and stand-booking options available.
