Profile Hockey

Profile Hockey specializes in hockey skate sharpening, custom profiling, and blade replacement, helping skaters tailor their equipment to personal preferences and performance needs. The business offers traditional sharpening in a range of hollows, as well as Blademaster Flat Bottom sharpening, which is designed to improve glide while maintaining edge grip. Its guidance emphasizes that the best hollow depends on how a skater feels on the ice, rather than on rules based on position or body size.

Using Blademaster’s Custom Radius System, Profile Hockey adjusts skate profiles to support different skating styles, from the glide and straight-line speed associated with larger radii to the tighter turning offered by smaller ones. Profiling can also change a skater’s stance pitch, making it possible to shift weight forward or backward. The service aims to remove as little blade material as possible and allows adjustments based on customer feedback. Profile Hockey carries Step Steel and blades from major manufacturers, including Black Steel, Hyperglide, and LS models, with products available in stock or by special order.
