About Profile Music
Profile Music is a renowned brand in the vibrant Melbourne music scene. With a history dating back over a decade, it originally started as 'Rhythm and Soul', where the founder, Steve Giardina, worked and contributed until he took over and rebranded the store in 2006. Steve's love for records began even earlier, as he worked at prestigious record stores in London from 1986 to 1995.
His experience there allowed him to cater to the diverse musical tastes of the city and build relationships with international DJs. Profile Music was born out of Steve's unwavering belief in the enduring significance of vinyl, even during the era of mp3s. Despite the nationwide shift toward digital music consumption, Steve's passion for vinyl never faltered.
Today, Profile Music prides itself on its extensive collection of vinyl records. They scour the globe to bring you a wide range of genres, including 2 Step, Acid, Techno, Rave, Afrobeat, Ambient, and more. In addition to records, they also offer accessories, DJ hardware, and gift vouchers.
