Progetto Mamma

Progetto Mamma is an Italian association founded in 2002 by obstetric professionals Fabio Innocenzi and Domenica Ferrari. Based in Fonte Nuova, in the province of Rome, it was created to support women in Monterotondo and nearby communities through pregnancy, the post-partum period and breastfeeding. Its approach places women at the centre of childbirth and encourages them to recognise their physical and emotional abilities.

The association offers activities and courses for women, including birth preparation, post-partum assistance and breastfeeding support. It also provides paediatric first-aid and choking-response courses, as well as continuing education courses for healthcare professionals. Alongside its local services, Progetto Mamma develops international projects supporting children and organises public events, including the Obiettivo Benessere conference.

The organisation’s work also addresses women’s needs during other significant or challenging stages of life, from puberty to menopause. Individuals can support its social activities and projects through donations, including contributions via bank transfer, PayPal or the Italian 5 per mille tax allocation.
