Antonio Cangiano

Antonio Cangiano is a renowned Software Development Manager and AI Evangelist at IBM, but his blog, Programming Zen, is a platform that is independent of the company. Born and raised in Italy, Antonio made the decision to leave his home country in 2003 due to concerns about its economy. He spent several years in Ireland before settling in Canada in 2006.

Antonio's blog, aptly titled Zen, reflects his philosophical approach to life, as he is a contented rationalist atheist. Antonio is deeply passionate about programming languages, algorithms, and development. He specializes in dynamic languages, particularly Ruby, but isn't limited to them.

He strongly believes in using the right tools for each job and staying abreast of the latest technological advancements. Aside from his professional interests, Antonio enjoys photography, reading, hiking, cycling, and target shooting. He also has a penchant for fountain pens and is always eager to explore new hobbies.

Antonio has published two books and made contributions to others. Ruby on Rails for Microsoft Developers (Wrox, 2009) and Technical Blogging (2nd Edition) (The Pragmatic Bookshelf, 2019) showcase his expertise and knowledge. If you're a regular reader or have attended one of his speaking engagements, feel free to connect with Antonio on LinkedIn or Twitter.

Just keep in mind that he receives a high volume of emails, so a response may take some time. Overall, Antonio Cangiano's brand is a reflection of his vast experience, unwavering passion, and dedication to the programming and development community
