ProgSoc is a dynamic and inclusive club that caters to all programmers, whether they are seasoned coders or just starting out on their coding journey. Our main goal is to provide a supportive community where programmers can connect, showcase their skills, and learn from each other. As a member of ProgSoc, you will have access to an array of exciting events.

We host beginner workshops, casual meetups, and even full-scale hackathons. Additionally, we collaborate with other societies within the Faculty of Engineering and IT (FEIT) to bring you the most prominent events UTS has to offer. Our diverse community consists of beginners, as well as experienced programmers already working in the industry.

This means that no matter your level of expertise, you can always find someone to chat with, seek help from, or simply have fun with. Who knows? You might even meet someone who can help you secure an internship or job opportunity in the future. ProgSoc's rich history dates back to 1989 when it was established under the name UTS Union, later renamed to Activate UTS.

Initially, we provided free website hosting services, as setting up personal servers was challenging back then. Although free hosting is no longer necessary today, our mission to make programming accessible to everyone remains strong.
