ACCSESS is a brand committed to providing access to cost-efficient, replicable, safe, and flexible Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) technologies. As a four-year Horizon 2020 project, ACCSESS aims to demonstrate innovative technologies, produce tools, and develop plans that enable widespread deployment of CCS in Europe. With the need for effective and affordable Carbon Dioxide Removal (CDR) becoming increasingly urgent, ACCSESS recognizes the importance of drastically reducing greenhouse gas emissions in order to achieve climate neutrality.

By focusing on hard-to-abate industries responsible for significant CO2 emissions, ACCSESS aims to implement CCS in sectors such as biomass-fueled cement production, pulp and paper, waste-to-energy, and biorefineries. The project also seeks to address barriers and accelerate the deployment of CCS, contributing to a climate-neutral Europe by 2050. Through their integrated approach, ACCSESS aims to engage stakeholders, inform communities, and promote societal acceptance of CCS as a crucial component of the low-carbon society needed to combat global warming.
