ProjectASHA began in 2004 as a support group for young women with acquired disabilities, and has since expanded its initiatives to include disability rights, poverty alleviation, microfinance, democracy and good governance, psychological wellbeing services, women and girls' rights, child protection, education, and public health programs.

In addition to their impactful programs, ProjectASHA also operates House of ASHA, a clothing brand dedicated to producing accessible fashion for disabled individuals.
