Isizwe is a non-profit organization that aims to provide equitable internet access to impoverished communities in Africa. They achieve this by partnering with internet service providers and funders to connect underserved schools and communities. Their vision is to ensure that every classroom in South Africa has access to uncapped internet, enabling relevant teaching and learning for all citizens.

Isizwe not only focuses on connecting schools to the internet but also provides free, uncapped WiFi for learners and educators at school and at home. They also design and implement education programs that drive transformation. Since its establishment in 2013, Isizwe has made significant strides in bridging the digital divide.

Their flagship project, Tshwane Free WiFi, deployed over 1050 public WiFi hotspots across the City of Tshwane, reaching 600,000 users who received 500MB of free WiFi daily. Isizwe continues to advocate for internet access as a human right, promoting equality and addressing gaps in education, health, employment, and economic participation in Africa.
