About Project Purple
**Brand Description:**
Project Purple is a Connecticut-based nonprofit organization dedicated to combating pancreatic cancer through awareness, patient support, and funding for critical research. Founded in 2010 by Dino Verrelli in memory of his father, who battled the disease, the organization aims to transform the narrative surrounding pancreatic cancer, which currently has a dismal 13% five-year survival rate in the USA.
Project Purple is committed to making a significant impact by investing over $3.5 million in research initiatives, including establishing the largest high-risk consortium for genetic mutations linked to pancreatic cancer. The organization also provides invaluable patient support through its Financial Aid program, assisting over 1,300 families with essential living expenses and dispatching more than 3,200 “Blankets of Hope” care packages to those in need. Through community outreach, educational resources, and inspirational storytelling, Project Purple fosters hope, resilience, and a collective mission to end pancreatic cancer.
