Lesní dětský klub Prokopáček is a certified forest children’s club in Prague 5, set in the natural surroundings of Prokopské údolí. A member of the Elementy Association for nature-based early education, the club says it meets forest-club quality standards. Its approach encourages children to respect and care for nature, others and themselves, with guidance that recognises each child’s individual needs.

Children spend much of their time outdoors throughout the year, exploring the changing landscape through play and seasonal activities. A steady daily rhythm and shared rituals provide structure, while leaving room for free discovery. The programme combines outdoor learning with familiar preschool activities, including drawing, painting, singing, storytelling, simple cooking and gardening. Children also practise cooperation, motor skills, independence and pre-school concepts through hands-on experiences with natural materials.

Prokopáček welcomes preschool-age children and offers information and support for families considering the club, including guidance on the compulsory preschool year. The club also shares updates, parent experiences and event information, and provides opportunities for families to visit and get acquainted.
