Pro Loco Castelnovo

Pro Loco Castelnovo APS is a community association based in Isola Vicentina, Italy, dedicated to celebrating local traditions and bringing people together through food and events. Its best-known event, the Gran Polù festival, received the Sagra di Qualità award in March 2025 at Palazzo Madama, the seat of Italy’s Senate. The recognition highlights the festival’s commitment to tradition, food quality, local promotion and careful organization.

Many dishes served at Gran Polù draw on local history and are prepared using traditional recipes. The association selects ingredients with care, giving preference to products from the surrounding area and supporting local producers. It also attends to event planning and safety for workers and visitors. Alongside Gran Polù, Pro Loco Castelnovo promotes events including Desfo Hill and Isola Live Festival, with editions listed for 2025 and 2026. The 2026 Gran Polù is scheduled from 5 June to 4 July. Through its festivals, the association showcases local flavors, music and community life while maintaining a focus on authenticity and regional identity.
