About PropertyOfThePeople
Property of the People is a nonprofit specialist organization that is dedicated to promoting governmental transparency in the service of democracy. Comprised of leading attorneys, activists, and scholars, their mission is to liberate government documents through Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests, research methodologies, impact litigation, and expert analysis. This organization has made significant contributions to exposing various governmental wrongdoings, such as Donald Trump’s violations of the Domestic Emoluments Clause, the FBI’s anti-communist campaign against Nelson Mandela, and the CIA’s spying on the Senate’s investigation of CIA torture, among others.
