Team Blue Iowa, also known as Prostate Cancer Awareness of Central Iowa, is a community organization dedicated to supporting Iowa men and families affected by prostate cancer. Made up of survivors, supporters, and local volunteers, it promotes awareness, advocacy, early detection, and community engagement so that no one has to face the disease alone. The organization says every dollar raised goes back into the community and reports distributing more than $315,000 to date.

Its programs combine practical support with opportunities to connect and raise funds. Free PSA screening events help Iowans access early detection, with a blood draw and follow-up call from a urologist at the Urology Center of Iowa. In partnership with the center, Team Blue Iowa also provides comfort backpacks for newly diagnosed patients, containing helpful items and treatment and recovery information. Annual activities include the Golfing FORE a Purpose fundraiser, the Blue Believers 5K Run/Walk and related events, and the Together for Tomorrow recognition dinner.
