Protect the Child Foundation (PTCF) is a Nigerian-based Non-Governmental Organization dedicated to safeguarding children from sexual abuse and exploitation. Our mission is to eradicate child sexual abuse by providing essential information, emergency services, legal assistance, and other resources that empower and protect African children.

Child sexual abuse is a prevalent issue, affecting both girls and boys regardless of age, race, or social class. Shockingly, statistics from UNICEF reveal that 1 in 4 girls and 1 in 10 boys in Nigeria experience sexual violence before the age of 18, with only a small fraction receiving support.

PTCF actively works to change the narrative around body safety, sexual abuse, and age-appropriate sex education. We host open conversations through our PTCF TV vox pop series, "Let's Talk About It," where Nigerians discuss various topics related to sex education.

In addition to advocacy, we also organize events, such as World Creativity and Innovation Day and Orphanage Outreach, to raise awareness and provide support.
