Prothesen in Bewegung is a community initiative for people who use prostheses, centered on peer support, shared experience, and active living. Its aim is to give prosthesis wearers opportunities to exchange knowledge on an equal footing and improve their quality of life through movement. The group welcomes new participants and organizes in-person gatherings, including meetings in Friedeburg, where members can connect and learn from one another.
Its website shares current information, event dates, news, useful links, and downloadable resources, as well as press coverage and details about partners and supporters. Topics featured include inclusive sport, running with a leg prosthesis, prosthetic components and sockets, prosthetics-related craftsmanship, and 3D printing. The initiative also communicates through Facebook and Instagram and provides contact details for questions and advance registration.
Rather than presenting a commercial product range, Prothesen in Bewegung focuses on community, information, and participation, encouraging people with prostheses to stay active and benefit from the experiences of others
