About Proticycle
ProtiCycle is a waste to wealth company that offers innovative solutions for organic waste in South Africa. With a modular approach, ProtiCycle can upcycle, convert, and transform up to 20 tons of waste per day into usable protein, fat, and organic fertilizer. Our founders, with backgrounds in mining and farming, bring industry expertise to the table, ensuring practical solutions and process designs for rearing the black soldier fly.
Our factory team has conducted numerous trials testing various waste resources, from manure to fruit pulp, to find sustainable waste feed resources for our larvae. What sets us apart is the scale of our projects, as few companies in the black soldier fly market operate at our level. Since our inception in 2016, we have made significant progress, from starting with a small wooden box to constructing our first commercial facility in Worcester.
