About Protik
Protik Innovation Center is an independent non-profit Information Communication Technology (ICT) center located in Tirana, Albania. Established in 2012 through a collaboration between the Albanian American Development Foundation (AADF), the Government of Albania, USAID, Microsoft, Albtelecom, and CISCO, Protik aims to catalyze the development of the ICT sector in Albania. Protik's primary objectives are to increase the demand and use of ICT, strengthen human and institutional capacity, foster innovation and entrepreneurship, promote networking and partnerships, and provide ICT entrepreneurs with access to modern technology and know-how.
By serving as an information networking hub, Protik facilitates collaboration between the private sector, educational institutions, and the government. Protik's activities include offering capacity building programs, organizing events, and providing community services. With a neutral and not-for-profit status, Protik offers a distinct comparative advantage in the Albanian market.
